Discovering Meditation

Who ever would have thought that to sit quietly undisturbed could become one of the most sort after moments to calm ones mind.

For you... depending on the choices in your life up until today, may be relaxing perhaps with an Iced Tea or hot steaming cup of something delicious - or perhaps you are searching for something... anything... that will help stop the insistent mind chatter that at times feels like it's driving you crazy.  Or asking your children to do something for what feels like the 10th time with the response being nothing more than a blank stare and look of utter disbelief at the mere mention of a request to pick up the pile of clothes from their bedroom floor.

Okay so I admit that this was me when I began on the path of meditation.  I was searching for peace from the mind chatter, I knew it meant something but it was at times overwhelming, then yes the children - I mean I love them dearly and they are such hard work - it shouldn't have to be hard work, everything should flow.

I was also searching for information on reconnecting with Source for I knew to do so would mean well... I was feeling as though somehow I was out of sync with myself, and though it is hard to explain on paper it was more a feeling.  You know like you just get to the lights and they go red, or you get to the deli and the last of your favorite chocolate has been sold- timing just doesn't seem to be quite right.  But deep down you know that when everything comes into alignment well at times it feels like sitting back with the children on a clear night and watching to most amazing Fireworks display.

This is how your life should be.  You Do Deserve It!  and deep down... come on you know you do!
